1. Hello Quora!
Have you heard of Quora.com? It’s one of the best ways to generate free traffic, but it takes preparation and effort to yield the results you want. This is where this post comes in to make sure you do the right thing!
Quora is a platform where users ask questions, and other users can give answers.
So, how does this help you generate traffic? Quora has more than 300 million active users a month, and if you give the best answer to a question, hundreds of thousands of people may see it over time.
If you put a link to your blog at the bottom of your answer, possibly thousands of appreciative users could check out your blog to see what else they could learn. Let’s learn how to use this tool to our advantage…
2. Perform Question Research
Like keyword research, this is how to get traffic to your website fast. This will give you direction, so you’re not wasting your time.
Once you sign up for Quora, you can search for a topic in the bar at the top of the page. Let’s use affiliate marketing as an example. Once all of the results populate, you can start clicking them to see how many people are following.
Answer questions with a high follower count to get the most engagement.
The best strategy is to mix questions with high followers and new questions in your niche. If you filter by the last day or week, you can get the latest questions on your topic.
Pay attention to the related questions on the right-hand side. The question will have similar answers to the ones in your main topic but will reach different people.
3. Create Answers in Google Docs
After you have a list of questions, you want to answer, use Google docs to answer the questions. Use some of the same skills you’ve learned when creating your first blog post.
Write authentically and helpfully. I like to start an answer with ”from my own experience” or ”personally, I…””
Bad grammar isn’t tolerated unless it’s intentional because that’s how your audience speaks. Only when your Quora responses are grammatically correct will they increase the number of upvotes and followers.
Because Quora is read by millions of people worldwide, you must learn how to create practical answers without grammatical errors.
Make your answers visually exciting and easy to read. Add pictures and bold your key points.
4. Use Images
A photo is worth a thousand words, as they say. So use stock photography websites to your advantage. Unsplash, StockSnap, Pixabay, and others are available where you can find free photos that aren’t copyright infringements.
Use pictures from these sites when making responses on Quora so they are more appealing. Using random images from Google might get your answers downvoted as it looks unprofessional.
Try to include at least one image for each answer you submit on Quora. It doesn’t matter where you place it within your response; it makes your reply stand out from the crowd. It’s as easy as that.
After you have crafted your answers, go to Quora, paste them in, and publish your responses. You can answer many questions this way.
Like your blog, aim for consistency. Answer the same amount of questions each week so that over time you build trust and authority.

5. Search for Questions with High-Traffic Keywords.
We’ll get to use our keyword research skills again here. Are you starting to see how it all compounds on top of each other?
Because Quora is such a high authority site, many times, answers from Quora will be close to the top of the results for specific keywords in Google. If you get one of the top answers, you will be very quickly near the top of the results.
You can use a free tool like The Hoth Keyword Tool to come up with questions and see if Quora is ranking for any of them. If you can get a top answer, you will get traffic from Quora itself and Google.
6. Add your Links
This is how you get people to read your blog but be careful. If you add your links right away, you’ll get banned. Build your reputation first. Give people some quality answers and become valuable to them.
Then you can add your links and start getting that free traffic. You can add links at the end of the post or within the content.
Within the content is called a hyperlink where you highlight a word or words and then add a link to a relevant post on your website. So you’re offering a more targeted link with this strategy.
7. Take Advantage of Quora Spaces
You can join existing spaces, for example, I’ve just joined a Sales Funnels Space. You can also create your own space. This gives you and your readers your own space on Quora. This allows your readers to keep in touch with you. This will also enable you to post articles and help you grow your following.
8. Create a Professional Profile
Fill out your profile with as much information as you can. Use this information to appeal to your readers and explain why they should listen to the information you’re giving them.
You can also add credentials to your profile. For example, I have my travel website credential: Owner of Staytopia – unique places to stay in Australia and New Zealand. The credential for this blog is: Guide to Blogging Success. webworkfromanywhere.com · Affiliate Marketing
Depending on what type of question I’m answering I’ll choose the correct credential for that question.
9. Answer a Variety of Questions
No matter what your stage of life is, you’ve got experience and knowledge behind you. Harness that power! So don’t limit yourself to a single subject. When you write on several topics, you’ll know what type of responses may go viral on Quora.
Don’t restrict yourself to one topic, such as fitness, gaming, finance, real estate, or SEO…Or any of those profitable niches we discussed here: How to Choose a Profitable Niche for a Blog.
Explore other areas where you can provide honest and helpful answers as well:
- Offer productivity tips gained from your working experience
- Offer life advice as a fitness instructor (or yoga teacher)
- Answer questions about finance for retirees
- Keen gardener? Answer questions about creating a raised vegetable garden
- Answer questions about your fave sport
You don’t have to stick to one subject. Take risks and explore topics outside of your comfort zone. Answer intriguing questions regarding those themes and give it a go!
Bonus: Use Quora to Find more Topics for your Website
It doesn’t matter what kind of blog you have: fitness, real estate, or technology. Quora provides a lot of content suggestions for your blog, whether you’re writing about anything. Simply type in any topic, and Quora delivers a slew of options.
